Wish Summercamp 2020

Wish Summer Camp 2020

The camp will take place July 13-19 2020, and is the only summer camp in Sweden for women,
trans and/or intersex people who are interested in BDSM and fetishism!
Get ready for a week of exciting play, interesting workshops, engaging discussions,
lots of opportunities for skill sharing as well as time for relaxing in the sun together with new and old friends and lovers.

Who can come?

All Wish events are open to women and all trans and/or intersex people living with their identity in
everyday life. If you want the target group to look different, please consider if this really is the event
for you. The total number of camp participants will be around 40.

If this is your first experience with BDSM and/or fetishism please contact us before you register as
we want to make sure that your expectation of the week is met.

Registration will be open for 24 hours, starting Saturday March 14th at 1200 GMT+1 (Swedish time).
There will then be a lottery for the tickets. To ensure that the camp will run smoothly the organizers
might have to give preference to those participants who are willing to serve as core volunteers.
The link to the registration form is: https://forms.gle/XVh6oCVE5SWi4R1U8
If you are unable to complete the form, or if you have any questions,
please email us at wishpowerexchange@gmail.com
After you have completed your registration, you will receive an automatic response from the system.
March 20, at the latest, you will know if you have a spot or not. An email with payment details and
more info will be sent out then. Please pay as soon as possible. If we don’t receive a payment
April 3 we will give your slot to the next one on the waiting list.

To promote a good and safe atmosphere, participants who plan to attend the whole
week will be prioritized. Please plan to arrive Monday July 13th and stay until early afternoon
Sunday July 19th. Early arrival on Sunday the 12th is possible for a very limited number of people.
It is not possible to stay longer than July 19th.

Core volunteers work for 3-5 hours a day, and participate at camp for a reduced fee.
The reduced-rate spots are limited.

We have 5 scholarships to enable participants who otherwise could not join camp to come.

Reduced fees for sleeping in tents or caravans - 300 SEK reduction
If you bring your own tent or caravan, this will reduce your fee by 300 SEK.
The relatively small reduction is due to the pricing system of the venue.

Workshop facilitators - 500 SEK reduction
Scheduled workshop facilitators will also receive a reduction in fee. If you are interested in
running a workshop, please let us know on the registration form. If you do not get a spot as a
workshop facilitator we will kindly ask you to pay the whole sum at a later point.

If you want to share room with only one other person, you can do that by paying 500 SEK
extra per person. Disclaimer: if many people want this, it might be hard to fit everyone into rooms,
if you cannot get a double room we will let you know and you will get your money back.

Arrival Sunday July 12th + 250 SEK
If you have to arrive the day before camp starts. Please only use this option if it is really necessary.
We pay per bed per night, so we need to charge for this. We will make sure you will get dinner on
Sunday night too.

We will send the link to our payment solution (Tickster) after you register. There you can pay with
credit card, or if you live in Sweden you can do a bank payment or Swish. We kindly ask everyone
to pay April 10th, at the latest. If you cannot pay in any of these ways, please get in touch.

If you withdraw your participation before May 3rd you will be reimbursed. After that you will be
reimbursed as long as there is someone from the waiting list to take your place.

Worst case scenario- corona virus still ongoing

We are aware that we have an ongoing Covid-19 pandemic in the world, and Europe and
Sweden is affected. We don’t have any idea what the situation might look like this summer.
Hopefully it has calmed down and we know more about the virus by then.
We are doing everything we can to make this amazing camp happen.

But we are also painfully aware that we might have to cancel Camp due to this virus,
depending on what the situation looks like in a few months. Therefore we have decided
that if we need to cancel camp all participants will get their money back, with the
exception for 350 SEK per person for full paying participants and 200 SEK for core
volunteers and people on scholarships.

The reason is we need to cover the cancellation fee for the venue, and Wish does not
have the means to cover the whole cost, which is approximately 15 000 SEK. In this way
participants will cover approximately half of the cost, and Wish will cover half, in case we
need to cancel camp. We will keep ourselves updated on the epidemic and decide mid June
at the latest if we need to cancel camp due to the virus.

We must of course all take care of ourselves individually and collectively.
We cannot know now whether individual countries, including Sweden, will put in place
restrictions that will impact on camp. But even without these individuals need to decide
whether travelling to camp carries too great a risk to themselves, to others at camp and to
those around us who belong to at-risk groups. We expect and trust campers to act responsibly.
We are aware that people may have to make decisions at the last minute, and although we will
try to refund some of your registration money, we cannot guarantee to make full refunds with short notice.

Let’s hope that camp will go ahead this year, and let’s work together to make this camp
happen as safely as possible.

About Camp

The camp consists of a small set of houses and buildings on the west coast of Sweden,
surrounded by beautiful nature and close to the town of Smögen. It is in walking distance to
a picturesque beach perfect for swimming. Directions to the location will be sent after confirmed
booking and completed payment.
The camp is international, and therefore communication will be in English to accommodate
all our guests travelling from all over the world. If you require translation, please let us know
and we will do our best to help you.

We do it together

Wish is a volunteer based, DIY organization, and camp is no exception.
This year all participants will be encouraged to work at least two hours over the week.
As previous years there will be a core group of main volunteers who put in 3-5 hours a day
at a reduced fee. But if we all chip in, the core volunteers will have more opportunities to
contribute to play, workshops and a relaxed atmosphere. We also expect you to clean your
rooms and to help clean common areas before departing.

We ask that everyone familiarize themselves with the rules (and of course follow them).
These have been put together to ensure everyone’s safety, security and comfort while at the camp. Camp rules will be sent out with payment information.

The premises

The estate has spacious common shower rooms and bathrooms.
In the yard there is a jacuzzi hot tub where you can take a relaxing hot bath during the
evenings and nights.

Inside the main building there are three playrooms; two public spaces with several stations,
and one smaller dungeon in the basement with a booking system, in case you prefer private play.
Each space is equipped with all kinds of furniture and equipment for s/m and bondage play,
such as a bondage chair, whipping benches, metal poles, St. Andrew’s cross, electric winches in
the ceiling and an old fashioned bed.

There are plenty of open and social areas and a large dining room and of course bedrooms.
The premises has an enclosed yard with benches, trees and grassy banks on a slope.
The yard is a lovely space for outside play. Clothing is optional, and weather permitting we will
also have outside activities.

Bedrooms are shared, with 4-6 beds in each room. If you wish to share with only one other person
or with specific people we will do our best to accommodate you. Please read more under costs.

We have room for a few participants to bring their own caravans, trailers or tents.
All participants are expected to bring their own bed linen and towels. If you can’t,
it will be possible to rent linen and a towel for 150 SEK. Storage space is limited,
so please consider that when packing.

There is wireless Internet access. However, we cannot guarantee a 100 % reliable connection.

Unfortunately, the camp is not well adapted for people with mobility impairments since it is partly
situated on a grass slope. Most parts of the facility have level access (though some bedroom areas
and the hot tub have steps, and some doors may be narrow). We do aim to find ways for everyone
to participate. We can bring portable ramps if requested. If you have any questions regarding
accessibility, please do not hesitate to email us.

Meals and Drinks

Meals are included in the fee. Fruit and snacks will be available to buy throughout the day.
There will be a fridge available for participants that wish to bring their own snacks or beverages.

We will do our best to accommodate the needs of special diets such as allergies, etc.
A lot of care and forethought goes into planning the menu, and is done well in advance.
Therefore you MUST state your needs clearly upon registration or we will not be able to accommodate them.

There will be a small self-service kiosk available at low cost, supplied with non-alcoholic beverages
and candy. There will be other complimentary basic beverages available, for example coffee, tea, milk and juice.

Alcohol is not allowed at camp this year. We will have a sober camp this year.
All drugs are illegal in Sweden and are strictly prohibited at camp.

Every day there will be scheduled introduction activities/workshops/demonstrations/DIY.
If you have any special skill or knowledge that you would like to share, we welcome suggestions for
lectures, workshops, and demonstrations of all kinds. This year the workshop program will be
coordinated by Zafire. Zafire will get in touch with everyone interested in facilitating a workshop after registration.

We also welcome you to contact us if you are interested in facilitating a scheduled group play.

You are also most welcome to arrange spontaneous workshops/skill sharing sessions/role plays/DIY
that are not scheduled during the camp.
